ESTATE MANAGEMENT UNIT DRDO, HYDERABAD

EMO, DRDO, Hyderabad was raised under the Administrative control of Director, DLRL on 01 May 1983. The EMO was sanctioned on 05 Jan 1985 and established as a self accounting and Administratively Independent Unit. This office was re-designated as Estate Management Unit. The EMU was initially under the control of R&D Estate Management Estt, Secunderabad. After the closure of R&D Estate Management Establishment, EMU is functioning directly under Directorate of Civil Works & Estates, RD-28, New Delhi.

EMU Hyderabad is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of DRDO Estate at RCI, Kanchanbagh, NSTL, visakhapatnam, INS Kalinga and Secunderabad. The unit is providing management services to DRDO Guest Houses, Transit facilities and NGO’s Mess at all above mentioned places. EMU, Hyderabad is also playing an active role in maintaining an excellent and conducive environment in DRDO laboratories/Establishments by executing arboriculture and Landscaping works. Thus, due to the relentless efforts and active role played by EMU, Hyderabad, the DRDO townships are now a class above the other non-DRDO townships.
